RSGM USU Presents its 23rd Anniversary with a Focus on Interdisciplinary Approaches in Dentistry

Medan – The Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Dental Hospital (RSGM USU) will celebrate its 23rd Anniversary with a seminar and hands-on workshop titled "Dental Treatment with Interdisciplinary Approaches in Dental Hospital." This event is scheduled for June 26, 2025, at Raz Plaza Convention Hall Medan, and will feature experts in dentistry.

RSGM USU's 23rd Anniversary specifically highlights the importance of an interdisciplinary approach in modern dental practice. This theme is relevant to the advancements in science and technology that call for cross-disciplinary collaboration to provide the best patient care.

 

 

The event will kick off with a scientific seminar featuring four speakers, each with specific expertise:

  • drg. Aini Hariyani Nasution Sp.Perio, Subsp.RPID(K) will share the latest insights on "Recent Advances in Biomaterials for Periodontal Regeneration," discussing material innovations that support periodontal tissue regeneration.

  • drg. Dennis, MDSc, Sp.KG, Subsp.KE(K), Ph.D, in his session "From Chairside to Apex," drg. Dennis will thoroughly explore "Clinical Decision-Making in Endodontics," providing strategic guidance for clinical decisions in endodontics.

  • drg. Cek Dara Manja, Sp.RKG, Subsp.RDP (K) will discuss "The Use of CBCT in Daily Practice," demonstrating how Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) technology can be integrated into daily practice for more accurate diagnoses.

  • drg. Teguh Aryo Nugroho, MDSc., Sp.Ort., Subsp. DDTK (K) will present strategies for "Enhancing QoL Through Interceptive Orthodontic Treatment: Timing and Strategies," focusing on improving patients' quality of life through interceptive orthodontic treatment.

 

Hands-On Session

 

In addition to the seminar, participants can also attend a hands-on session titled "Maximize Root Canal Shaping Using The Latest System Heat Treatment Controlled Memory Files" for a registration fee of Rp 1,200,000. This session aims to provide practical, direct experience to dentists in applying the latest techniques in endodontics.

 

Community Service and Exhibition

 

As part of its celebration and social commitment, RSGM USU will also hold a Community Service event on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, the day before the main event. This community service includes tooth extractions and simple fillings (scaling). This activity shows RSGM USU's dedication to public oral and dental health, especially in Medan. An Exhibition will also be available for participants to explore the latest innovations and products in the dental world.
