The Dental and Oral Hospital of Universitas Sumatera Utara (RSGM USU) actively contributed to the peak celebration of the 64th Anniversary of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKG USU), held on Saturday, 6 December 2025 at the FKG USU grounds. The celebration began with a Fun Walk involving the academic community of FKG USU, all FKG USU students, the hospital community of RSGM USU, and invited guests, fostering a strong sense of togetherness across institutional units.
To further strengthen team spirit, the Director of RSGM USU, drg. Siti Salmiah, Sp.KGA., Subsp. KKA (K)., FICD, facilitated the provision of coordinated uniforms and Fun Walk attributes for RSGM USU staff. This collective participation successfully earned RSGM USU the Best Spirit Group award. The atmosphere of unity was further reinforced through the joint singing of the national anthem, Indonesia Raya, followed by a moment of silence in remembrance of the victims of the recent flooding disaster in Sumatra.
The celebration continued with a landmark achievement through the breaking of a MURI record for the Training of Trainers on the Prevention of Gingival Recession and Tooth Sensitivity Using the Modified Stillman Method with the Largest Number of Participants. In parallel, a fundraising initiative was organized to support flood victims, reflecting the social responsibility and humanitarian values upheld by the FKG USU community.
RSGM USU’s active involvement throughout the series of events underscores its strong commitment to supporting academic excellence, social engagement, and institutional synergy. The participation not only enhanced the festive spirit of the anniversary celebration but also reinforced solidarity and collaboration between FKG USU and RSGM USU in advancing education, service, and community care.
