The Dental and Oral Hospital of Universitas Sumatera Utara (RSGM USU) has officially received students from the Dental Profession Education Study Program (PSPPDG) of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara, to continue their clinical internship activities at RSGM USU.
The handover ceremony was held on August 19, 2024, at the Nazir Alwi Hall of FKG USU and was attended by various stakeholders. The event was led by the Dean of FKG USU, Dr. drg. Essie Octiara Sp.KGA., Subsp.PKOA(K), and the Director of RSGM USU, drg. Siti Salmiah Sp.KGA.Subsp.KKA(K). This collaboration aims to strengthen the partnership between the faculty and the hospital in supporting students' education. The Vice Deans I and III of FKG USU, the Deputy Director of RSGM USU, the Acting Head of PSPPDG, and the Secretary of Komkordik also attended the event.
In her speech, drg. Siti Salmiah emphasized the importance of adhering to RSGM USU's regulations to ensure students adapt well and focus on their clinical internship. She expressed her hope that with the existing guidance and support, PSPPDG students could complete their program on time and be well-prepared to enter the professional world as competent dentists.
Drg. Siti Salmiah also expressed her hope for continued cooperation to enhance the quality of education and healthcare services at RSGM USU. Students are encouraged to make the most of this opportunity to improve their clinical skills before advancing to their next education stage.
Through this handover ceremony, it is hoped that PSPPDG students will be motivated to excel and contribute positively to the educational process at RSGM USU, equipping themselves with the knowledge and skills necessary to become reliable dentists.
