The Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKG USU), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). The signing event was held at the USIM campus on August 23, 2024, and attended by FKG USU Dean Dr. Drg. Essie Octiara, Sp.KGA., Subsp.PKOA(K), Vice Dean I Dr. Drg. Olivia Avriyanti Hanafiah, Sp.B.M.M., Subsp.C.O.M.(K), Vice Dean III Dr. Drg. Pitu Wulandari, S.Psi., Sp. Perio, Subsp.MP(K), and RSGM USU Director Drg. Siti Salmiah, Sp.KGA., Subsp.KKA(K). The MoU aims to open opportunities for joint educational programs, collaborative research, and scientific activities that benefit both institutions' professional and academic development.
As part of the event, RSGM USU Director Drg. Siti Salmiah, Sp.KGA., Subsp.KKA(K) participated in a visit to the USIM Dental Hospital. The visit focused on learning about the hospital's advanced facilities and technology. It is hoped that this engagement will foster a stronger synergy grounded in best practices and pave the way for mutually beneficial collaborations in the future.
