The Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), held the inauguration and dentist's oath ceremony for 80 dentistry graduates on October 1, 2024, at the Gelanggang Mahasiswa Hall on the USU campus.
The Dean of FKG USU, Dr. drg, led this solemn event. Essie Octiara, Sp.KGA., Subsp.PKOA(K), attended by religious leaders, adds a sacred atmosphere to the oath-taking ceremony for the new dental professionals.
The event was graced by prominent figures, including the Chairperson of PDGI Medan Branch, drg. Ranu Putra Armidin, M.K.M., the Director of RSGM USU represented by drg. Gebby Gabrina, and a representative of the FKG Alumni Association, drg. Ahmad Affandi. Their presence encouraged and supported the new dentists as they embarked on their professional journey.
The parents' faces were filled with an emotional mix of pride and joy as they witnessed their children commit to carrying out their duties with full responsibility. The graduates were also encouraged to continue their professional development and contribute to dental health, aiming to improve the quality of healthcare services for the community.
This event is expected to be a significant milestone in the graduates' careers and a moment to strengthen solidarity and pride as part of the dental community in Indonesia. Armed with renewed enthusiasm and acquired knowledge, dentists are anticipated to provide the best services for society and actively contribute to maintaining oral and dental health.
