Komkordik RSGM USU Holds Strategic Meeting, Discusses Sanctions and Curriculum Reconstruction

Medan, June 3, 2025 – The Education Coordination Committee (Komkordik) of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Dental Hospital (RSGM USU) held a strategic meeting on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, in the RSGM USU meeting room. This meeting focused on handling student sanctions and violations in clinical education, as well as preparing for curriculum reconstruction.

 

Led by the Head of Komkordik, drg. Ranu Putra Armidin, MKM, the meeting was attended by the Heads of Medical Staff Groups (Ka. KSM) from each clinic. The main discussion highlighted ethical, disciplinary, and professionalism violations within the clinical environment. Komkordik emphasized the importance of consistent and transparent rule enforcement. This is considered a crucial form of guidance to shape students' professional character and responsibility.

 

Additionally, the meeting also discussed the initiative to reconstruct the clinical education curriculum, which will be implemented collaboratively with the KSM. This step is taken in response to the latest developments in medical science and efforts to improve the quality of educational services. Komkordik stressed the importance of developing a curriculum that is relevant, adaptive, and responsive to the needs of the medical world and society. The goal is to produce prospective dentists and specialist dentists who are not only academically excellent but also possess strong ethics and professionalism.

 

This strategic meeting demonstrates RSGM USU's commitment to maintaining the quality of education and the integrity of its students, as well as adapting to the dynamic developments in dental science.
