The Independent Accreditation Institution for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes) conducted a field visitation to review the establishment of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialist Program at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKG USU). During the visit, the LAM-PTKes team conducted a comprehensive review of the Dental and Oral Hospital of Universitas Sumatera Utara (RSGM USU), which serves as the Primary Dental and Oral Teaching Hospital for FKG USU and the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Program.
The inspection carried out on May 6, 2024, focused on various healthcare facilities, including the Emergency Room and Central Surgery Room, to ensure the readiness and quality of services provided by RSGM USU in supporting the program.
The LAMPT-Kes assessors, Prof. Drg. Suryono, SH, MM, Ph.D., and Prof. Dr. Chiquita Prahasanti, Drg., Sp.Perio(K) was accompanied by Drg. Siti Salmiah, Sp.KGA.Subsp.KKA(K), the Director of RSGM USU; Acting Deputy Director I, Drg. Ranu Putra Armidin, M.K.M.; Head of Medical and Non-Medical Services, Paramedic Support, and Nursing, Drg. Gebby Gabrina, Head of the Cooperation Division, Drg. Muhammad Kadafi Hasibuan; Head of the Pharmacy Installation, Muhammad Yunus, S.Farm, Apt; and faculty members from the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at FKG USU.
The assessors meticulously inspected facilities, including the Main Lobby, Specialist Integration Room, Central Surgery Room, and Inpatient Rooms, while also evaluating standard operating procedures, medical equipment, and the qualifications of healthcare professionals involved. This visitation is a significant step in ensuring that FKG USU and RSGM USU can deliver high-quality dental education and optimal healthcare services to the community.
