On-site Verification of USU Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM) towards Teaching Hospital Status

The Dental and Oral Hospital of Universitas Sumatera Utara carried out an on-site Verification by the on-site verification assessor team on November 22, 2024. This verification is a strategic step in ensuring that RSGM USU meets the standards as a Teaching Hospital that supports holistic dental education.

The Assessor Team comprises five members: three representatives from the Ministry of Health: dr. Else Mutiara Sihotang, Sp.PK, drg. Christiana Eka Nartiawaty Hendarjudani, M.Kes, and Fajar Agung Nugroho, S.H; and two heads of professional organizations: Prof. drg. Suryono, S.H., MM, Ph.D. (Chairman of AFDOKGI) and Dr. drg. Yulita Hendrartini, M.Kes, AAK (Chair of ARSGMPI).

The event was attended by various important figures, including USU Vice Rector for Academic, Student and Alumni Affairs Dr. Edy Ikhsan, S.H., M.A.; USU RSGM Board of Trustees Dr. drg. Essie Octiara, Sp.KGA, Subsp.PKOA(K) as Chairperson of the Supervisory Board and Dean of the USU Faculty of Dentistry; drg. Saidina Hamzah Dalimunthe, Sp.Perio(K); and drg. Meriah Ukur Sembiring. Director of RSGM USU drg. Siti Salmiah Sp.KGA.Subsp.KKA(K); Deputy Director of RSGM USU drg. Ranu Putra Armidin, MKM, And the Dean of the USU Faculty of Dentistry, all Heads of Division and Head of Unit of RSGM USU, the Head of the Medical Staff Group, and the Chairman of the Medical Committee were also present.

This verification includes an in-depth evaluation of facilities, education systems, health services, and hospital governance. This process is expected to solidify RSGM USU's status as a Teaching Hospital while strengthening its contribution to supporting learning, research, and service to the community.
