Provincial Health Office and DPMPTSP Evaluate RSGM USU for Type B Status Upgrade

The North Sumatra Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Office (DPMPTSP Provsu), in collaboration with the Provincial Health Office, Medan City Health Office, PERSI, and ARSADA, conducted a visitation to the Universitas Sumatera Utara Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM USU) on September 11, 2024. This visit aimed to conduct a field review and assess the hospital's facilities as part of the application process for upgrading its status to Type B.
The field review team was led by the Head of Infrastructure, Economic, and Social Licensing Services at DPMPTSP Provsu, Golongan Kemit, ST, and Licensing Document Analyst Julianto, SKM. The team also included representatives from the North Sumatra Provincial Health Office, such as the Head of Referral Health Services, Dr. M. Emirsyah Harvian Harahap, MKM, and Facility Inspector M. Ihsan, SKM, as well as ARSADA Chairperson, Dr. M. Natsir Pohan, Sp.B, Deputy Secretary of PERSI North Sumatra, Dr. Jamaludin, MARS, and Referral Services Officer from Medan Health Office, Lasma Imelda S. They were accompanied by RSGM USU's Deputy Director, Drg. Ranu Putra Armidin, M.K.M, and key division heads responsible for medical, non-medical, operational, marketing, education, research, community service, and administrative services at RSGM USU.
This review marks an essential step to ensure that RSGM USU complies with all standards and regulations required for the hospital's licensing and status upgrade to Type B. The field team inspected various operational aspects, including infrastructure, facilities, and healthcare service procedures. The results of this evaluation will be a critical consideration in the final decision regarding RSGM USU's status upgrade. This visitation reflects the commitment of all involved agencies to ensure that local healthcare facilities deliver optimal services by applicable regulations.
