The Dental and Oral Hospital of Universitas Sumatera Utara (RSGM USU) together with the North Sumatra Provincial Health Office held a preparatory meeting for a partnership with BPJS Kesehatan on Tuesday, May 6, 2026, at the RSGM USU meeting room. This activity marked a strategic step to expand public access to dental and oral healthcare services while further strengthening the quality of services available at RSGM USU.

 

The meeting was led directly by the Director of RSGM USU, drg. Rini Octavia Nasution, M.Kes., Sp.Perio., Subsp.RPID(K), and attended by the Head of the North Sumatra Provincial Health Office, the Deputy Directors of RSGM USU, representatives from BPJS Kesehatan regional and Medan branch offices, the Head of Healthcare Services Division of the North Sumatra Health Office, as well as leaders of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialist Dentistry Education Program.

During the discussion, various requirements for cooperation with BPJS Kesehatan became the main focus, including the readiness of human resources, the completeness of facilities and infrastructure, and the service standards that must be fulfilled by the hospital. The discussion reflected RSGM USU’s strong commitment to preparing broader and more integrated healthcare services for the community.

 

As a follow-up, the activity continued with a field inspection of several strategic units within RSGM USU. The team directly reviewed the Specialist Service Unit, Emergency Department (ED), Inpatient Installation, and Central Operating Theater to ensure facility readiness and service quality in accordance with BPJS Kesehatan partnership standards.

 

Through this preparatory meeting with BPJS Kesehatan, RSGM USU reaffirmed its commitment to continuously improving service quality while expanding public access to dental and oral healthcare.
