The Dental and Oral Hospital of Universitas Sumatera Utara (RSGM USU) and Putri Hijau Level II Hospital (Rumkit Tk II Putri Hijau) Medan held a preparatory meeting on Friday, August 29, 2025, to discuss the renewal of their long-standing collaboration. The strategic meeting took place in the RSGM USU Conference Room and was attended by the leadership teams of both institutions.
Representing RSGM USU were Director drg. Siti Salmiah, Sp.KGA., Subsp.KKA(K), Deputy Director drg. Ranu Putra Armidin, MKM, the Heads of the Education, Research, and Community Service Division, and the Operations Division, along with several academic leaders including the Heads and Secretaries of the Specialist Programs in Conservative Dentistry and Orthodontics, as well as the RSGM USU Attending Dentists (DPJP). From Rumkit Tk II Putri Hijau, attendees included Head of Medical Education and Training Division dr. Trianita Tarigan, M.Ked (Clin Path), Sp.Pk, and Head of Dental and Oral Health Department drg. Trisna Prihatin, M.KM.
The meeting reaffirmed both institutions’ commitment to strengthening their partnership in dental education, research, and dental healthcare services.
Several key discussion points were addressed during the session, including:
Evaluation of previous collaborations, covering clinical education achievements, joint research initiatives, and medical service outcomes.
Identification of new collaborative opportunities in specialist dental education and hospital service development.
Strategies for quality improvement in healthcare services, clinical teaching, and dental research.
Through this continued collaboration, RSGM USU and Putri Hijau Level II Hospital aim to deliver broader benefits not only to dental students and healthcare professionals but also to the people of North Sumatra. The renewal of this partnership marks a concrete step toward enhancing the quality of dental and oral healthcare services, while reinforcing both institutions’ roles in advancing dental science and education in Indonesia.
