The Universitas Sumatera Utara Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM USU) and Stikes Binalita Sudama held a coordination meeting on a cooperation agreement on August 29, 2024. The meeting was conducted in person at the RSGM USU meeting room and online via the Zoom platform.
The coordination meeting was attended by RSGM USU Director Drg. Siti Salmiah, Sp.KGA., Subsp.KKA(K), Deputy Director Drg. Ranu Putra Armidin, M.K.M, Head of Prostodontics KSM Drg. Ariyani, M.DSc., Sp.Pros., Subsp. PKIKG(K), Head of the Prosthodontics Specialist Program, drg. Ricca Chairunnisa, Sp.Pros., Subsp. OGST(K), Stikes Binalita Sudama Chairperson Syaru Romadhon, RO, SKM, M.Kes, Ophthalmologist Dr. Fairuz Hamid Umar Bahasywen, B.Optom(Hons), MSc, Stikes Binalita Sudama Cooperation Staff Elvi Susanti Lubis, SKM, M.Kes, along with RSGM USU heads of medical, non-medical, operational, marketing, education, research, and community service departments.
The meeting aimed to discuss and draft a cooperation agreement regarding producing prosthetic eyes and biomedical engineering internships for students to support the development of educational programs and healthcare services. The outcome was an initial agreement on key points to be formalized into an official draft for signing. This collaboration is expected to strengthen synergy between academia and medical practice while significantly contributing to the quality of education and healthcare services in North Sumatra.
