The Universitas Sumatera Utara Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM USU) participated in both the men’s and women’s volleyball competitions to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia at Universitas Sumatera Utara. The RSGM USU women’s volleyball team successfully advanced to the final round, upholding sportsmanship and strengthening solidarity within the academic community.

In commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, the Universitas Sumatera Utara Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM USU) demonstrated its support and active participation by taking part in a series of competitions organized by Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU). This celebration, which involved the entire academic community and hospital personnel within the USU environment, served as a platform for togetherness as well as a means to strengthen bonds among personnel across different units.

Various competitions were held to enliven the celebration, one of which was the men’s and women’s volleyball tournament. The RSGM USU women’s volleyball matches took place from July 29 to August 4, 2025, where the team delivered outstanding performances that led them to advance to the final round. All matches were conducted smoothly while upholding the values of sportsmanship, fair play, and camaraderie among participants.

Meanwhile, the men’s volleyball matches are still ongoing and have been met with strong support and high enthusiasm from various parties within the Universitas Sumatera Utara community. The presence and direct encouragement from colleagues and the campus community have further motivated the players to deliver their best performances on the court.

The participation of RSGM USU staff in the celebration of the 80th Indonesian Independence Day was not merely a form of festivity, but also a commitment to strengthening relationships, fostering collaboration, and building solidarity among work units at USU. It is hoped that positive activities such as this will continue to be held annually as a means of enhancing togetherness, team cohesion, and institutional pride.

With the spirit of independence, RSGM USU, together with the entire Universitas Sumatera Utara community, remains committed to nurturing unity and mutual cooperation in academic endeavors, healthcare services, and social and community activities.
