RSGM USU Participates in the 6th National Congress of ARSPTN 2025: Strengthening Synergy and Innovation in Dental and Oral Health

The Dental and Oral Hospital of Universitas Sumatera Utara (RSGM USU) took part in the 6th National Congress of the Association of State University Hospitals (ARSPTN), held on October 3–4, 2025, at The Ritz-Carlton Mega Kuningan, Jakarta. This prestigious event carried the theme “International Synergy for Enhancing Competitiveness in Realizing Excellent Services and the Tri Dharma Functions of State Universities.” It served as a strategic platform for state university hospitals to strengthen both national and international collaboration.


Representing RSGM USU were several members of the leadership team, including drg. Siti Salmiah, Sp.KGA., Subsp.KKA(K)., FICD, Director of RSGM USU; drg. Ranu Putra Armidin, MKM, Deputy Director; and Dr. drg. Essie Octiara, Sp.KGA., Subsp.PKOA(K), representing the Supervisory Board of RSGM USU. Also in attendance were the Heads of Departments: drg. Gebby Gabrina, drg. Muhammad Kadafi Hasibuan, Sp.KG, drg. Emalia Rosalina, and Mira Husna Nst., SKM, who actively participated in the series of congress activities.


RSGM USU’s participation in the 6th ARSPTN National Congress 2025 reflects its strong commitment to enhancing collaboration among state university hospitals, fostering innovation in health services, and optimizing the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education—education, research, and community service. Through this participation, RSGM USU reaffirms its continuous efforts to deliver excellent, professional, and community-oriented dental and oral health services.


During the event, RSGM USU Director drg. Siti Salmiah also held a direct discussion with the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Mendiktisaintek), Prof. Brian Yuliarto, Ph.D. The discussion focused on strategies to strengthen research activities, innovation, and the downstream development of research-based products in the field of dentistry. This synergy is expected to play an important role in bridging academic research outcomes with real-world healthcare applications, delivering tangible benefits to the public and supporting Indonesia’s health transformation agenda.


RSGM USU’s participation in this distinguished national forum underscores its continuous dedication to becoming an excellent, innovative, and globally competitive teaching hospital, in line with Universitas Sumatera Utara’s vision to advance the quality of education and healthcare services in Indonesia.
