The Universitas Sumatera Utara Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM USU) once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting academic programs and global-scale community service initiatives. This support was realized through its active participation in the International Community Service Program, which formed part of the 2025 Summer Course series organized by the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKG USU).

This prestigious event was held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the Nazir Alwi Hall, Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara. It was attended by the Vice Director of RSGM USU, drg. Ranu Putra Armidin, MKM, who represented the Director of RSGM USU. The presence of RSGM USU highlighted the strategic role of this teaching hospital in supporting international collaboration and academic capacity building in the field of oral and dental health.

The activity also involved students from the Field Learning Program (PBL) of Poltekkes Kemenkes Medan, who were undertaking practical training at RSGM USU. Their involvement served as tangible evidence of cross-institutional synergy, providing hands-on learning opportunities and fostering a direct understanding of community-based oral and dental healthcare services.

Through this International Community Service initiative, FKG USU in collaboration with RSGM USU successfully built global academic networks, strengthened cooperation among educational institutions, and promoted Indonesia’s active role on the international stage in the field of dentistry. This activity also represented a concrete step toward increasing public awareness of the importance of maintaining oral and dental health, while reaffirming the commitment of RSGM USU and FKG USU to continuously advance dental science for the broader welfare of society.
