Universitas Sumatera Utara Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM USU) continues to strengthen service quality while expanding global collaboration. On Tuesday, 10 February 2026, RSGM USU welcomed an official visit from the Dean and team of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia—aimed at enhancing academic and clinical partnerships and sharing best practices in managing a teaching hospital and oral healthcare services.

The UiTM delegation included Associate Professor Dr. Mas Suryalis Ahmad, Associate Professor Dr. Ilham Wan Mokhtar, and team members, hosted by the Director of RSGM USU drg. Siti Salmiah, Sp.KGA., Subsp.KKA(K), the Vice Dean I of FKG USU Dr. drg. Olivia Avriyanti Hanafiah, Sp.B.M.M., Subsp.C.O.M(K), and RSGM USU division leaders.

Facility Tour: Inpatient Care, Specialist Units, and a Featured Pediatric Clinic

During the visit, the delegation toured key facilities and service units, including inpatient areas, specialist service units, and the pediatric dentistry clinic, followed by interactive discussions on service systems, teaching-hospital management, and continuous quality improvement.

RSGM USU also publicly highlights hospital-level facilities such as an Emergency Unit (IGD), inpatient rooms, a central operating theatre, CSSD, and outpatient services—supporting more comprehensive care than a typical dental clinic.
