The Dental and Oral Hospital of USU, in collaboration with the Faculty of Dentistry USU, held a briefing for students of the dentistry profession education program at FKG USU on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, in the Nazir Alwi Room at FKG USU. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry USU, drg. Essie Octiara, Sp.KGA., Subsp.PKOA (K), the Deputy Director of RSGM USU, drg. Ranu Putra Armidin, MKM, the Head of the Dentistry Profession Education Program, drg. Mutia Amalia Nasution, M.Biomed., Sp.Ort., Subsp.DDPK (K), the Head of the Education and Research Division of RSGM USU, drg. Gabby Gabrina, as well as the Komkordik Team and RSGM USU staff.
The event began with the symbolic handover of PSPPDG students from FKG USU to RSGM USU, marking the start of their clinical clerkship period. This was followed by the recitation of the PSPPDG student pledge and various important materials related to the field of dental practice. The briefing aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the procedures and patient education service flow at RSGM USU.
During this occasion, PSPPDG students also received material from various teams at RSGM USU, such as the Quality Control and Patient Safety Team (PMKP), the Infection Prevention and Control Team (PPI), the Hospital Occupational Health and Safety Team (K3RS), as well as units directly involved in patient services, including Registration, Medical Records, Pharmacy, Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD), and the Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS). This briefing is expected to prepare PSPPDG students to face practical challenges in the field and enhance the quality of services at RSGM USU.
